Another
weekend, another defeat. It's no wonder that people are linking
many managers with the possibly soon to be vacant City job.
Top
of the list is George Graham who's name has been floating
around now since before the end of last season.
This
morning's News Of The World touts September 8th as the date
a new manager will be installed with Graham top of the pile.
Also
on the list is former Hammers boss Harry Redknapp and Preston's
David Moyes.
Although
Graham seems to be the likely choice IF Peter Taylor is replaced,
potential stumbling blocks could be the fact that he is still
locked in a legal wrangle with Spurs. He is still looking
for compensation after his sacking last season and wants in
the region of 2 Million in compensation!
Meanwhile
back at Filbert Street insiders are crawling out of the woodwork
to confirm that Taylor is set for the sack.
One
"insider" is quoted today as saying, "The dressing
room is very down. Too many average players have been brought
in.
"Peter
has lost the confidence of several key players, we can't see
him turning it around."
While
another insider said ominously, "Peter knows that his
fate has been decided"
