As
if the fall out from the weekends 5-0 thrashing from Premiership
new boys Bolton wasn't enough to get you worried it now appears
that Darren Eadie will miss the rest of the season after suffering
a recurrence of his knee injury.
The
injury has dogged Eadie for a very long time and although
it was thought that it was under control after an operation
in the summer but it now appears that the operation was not
a success. Specialist knee surgeons have told Eadie that he
will have to have another operation on the knee which to correct
it and as a result he will be out of action for at least a
year.
Eadie
had already missed the final month of last season and although
he made a fleeting appearance against Kettering during pre-season
he has since not been able to train.
City
boss Peter Taylor, who can't be having a good day, told the
official site "This is obviously a major blow both for
Darren and the club.
"Darren
has been told that he really has no option but to have the
operation. We now have to face up to the fact that we'll be
without him for the season.
"We
wish Darren all the best in his recovery."
Another nail in the coffin or does it not matter that much?
