Just to confirm that City were absolutely and utterly rubbish on Saturday, the official Opta Stats have been released and it tells a sorry tale.

Although City had slightly more of the possession with 51%, shots on target numbered a staggering 1 compared to Bolton's 7. You'll be pleased to know though that out strikers are continuing this season just as they did last season, they had 6 shots off target.

With only 3 corners for City it wasn't a good day for set pieces either although a total of 44 fouls made it the weekends dirtiest game with City taking the blame for 22 of them.

It all adds up to a massive "Must try harder" for Peter Taylor and the lads.
