So how did Leicester fans do in the National Criminal Intelligence
Service league of footy related crime?
Yesterday
the NCIS released their football related arrest figures for
last season, and it showed that most of the arrests coming
in Geordie land and Manchester.
Leicester
came in, as usual, mid table, with 69 of our lads and lasses
being read their rights. Top of the league were Newcastle
with 191 arrests. Bottom were Southampton with only 15.
Different
police forces have different rules and standards and arrest
people for different things, but Leicester win the award for
being the most sober! Only 2 City fans were officially arrested
for being drunk. (Was one Matty?-Ed) Sunderland were
the most pissed with 68 arrested for quaffing to much Newcy
Brown.
There
were even stats released for drug offences so the "off
yer head" award this season goes to Everton where 13
fans were arrested for drugs offences. Only 3 people were
arested for mixing their drugs and footy in Leicester.
Nationally,
of the 4,162 arrests relating to all games last year (including
internationals), 1,186 were drink-related; and another 1,000
for disorderly behaviour and breach of the peace (offences
often related to being pissed); 292 for running on the pitch;
161 for ticket touting; and 111 for drugs offences.
Figures
released by the National Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS)
showed that arrests for football-related offences rose by
8.1% to 4,162, the highest level for four years. To see the
figures in full see the NCIS
website.

Are
City fans able to take hold their beer more than other fans?
