City
yesterday refused a £3.5m bid for defender and club
captain, Mat Elliott.
Taylor
has said that Matty is not for sale at any price, and now
intends to offer Matt an improved and lucrative 4 year deal
to see out his career with Leicester.
The
news comes on the day that Cov look set to sign Steve Guppy
from us for £680,000 (unless O'Neill steps in with a
better offer which is possible according to some sources),
and the day City signed striker Jamie Scowcroft from Ipswich
for £2.25m.
Jamie
said that one of the main reasons for signing for us, despite
Ipswich being in Europe next season, was that Taylor is one
of the best coaches he has worked under and also that Leicester
are an ambitious club.
Jamie
has been named in the squad to face Stoke tonight in Leicester's
4th pre-season friendly.
Other
rumours on the transfer market revolve around F&%$£^.
Having put their entire squad up for sale to raise cash, sources
are linking City to an interest possibly in Bart-Williams
again.
