City
ran out easy winners against Quorn tonight, with Garry Parker
makng a welcome return to the team, laying on one goal and
scoring a blinder himself from 20 yads out.
Trevor
Benjamin got a hat-trick, and the other two goals were scored
by Martin Reeves and Matt Heath (the Captain for the night.
No
Matt Jones tonight, and unfortunately Damien Delaney went
off after only 20 minutes with a dodgy hamstring or dead leg.
Despite
threats of putting himself in the squad, Peter Taylor remained
seated in the stand with Bill Anderson from the Mercury and
John Elsom, the City Chairman.
Steve
Butler did get a good run out thanks to Damien's knock, and
let's just say he was a little on the slow side!
Two
of the youngsters also got a run out in the second half and
did well.
Steff
Oakes had a much stronger game tonight, and Danny Thomas and
Jordan Stewart worked well together to cause trouble with
their pace down the left wing.
Matt
"Sticks" Heath captained the team well and certainly
looks like a Matty Elliott in the making.
