After
Leicester City PLC confirmed to the Stock exchange that there
had been a "preliminary approach which may or may not
lead to an offer being made" for Leicester City, shares
rose a staggering 14.71% to close at 58.5p.
City
shares have been languishing at around the 50p mark now for
some time with almost 7.5% being wiped off of the market value
this year.
The
slight share improvement, while good for the club, is hardly
likely to please long term share holders who brought into
the club at 110p when City first floated on the stock exchange.
It
does though mean that the rumoured £20 Million bid that
Gilbert Kinch may make would now be not enough to take City
from it's current owners.
