City have now been linked with former England U-21 Ipswich striker, Jamie Scowcroft again.

Taylor said,

'Because I have worked with the player before, people would naturally make the connection with me.

'And, of course, everyone knows that I am wanting a new frontman to boost the strength of the squad here.

'I admit he is the sort of player we are looking for and, as I have said before, if there was a chance of any such player becoming available we might be interested.'
