Muzzy Izzet has said that he knows nothing about Villa being interested in him.

One Sunday tabloid newspaper had suggested that Muzzy would be a Villa player within 48 hours!

Speaking to the Leicester Mercury, Muzzy said :

“I know nothing about it. When I read the report I was surprised.

“It’s nice to be linked with clubs because it means I’m doing well, although the club will not be as pleased.

“I know I was linked with Celtic, but that’s because of Martin O’Neill and people have put two and two together. But I know nothing about either Celtic or Aston Villa.”

Taylor added:

“Muzzy is the last person I would let go. He is a very important player for us and our star player.

“I don’t think any Premiership club would sell their star player and we’re no different.”

Muzzy's comments are interesting though as they certainly do not go out of their way to say "I'm definately staying at Leicester". Looks like he would be off if the right offer did come in; Celtic being favourites.
