Even
though Coventry seem to have accepted that John Hartson just
doesn't want to play for the tired, first division Midlands
outfit that is the Sky Blues, they are still trying to hamper
Peter Taylor's attempts to sign him by saying that they want
City to double their £3.5 million bid!
Coventry
Chairman Bryan Richardson admitted that Hartson had made his
intentions very clear in a meeting that they had together
yesterday and that he wanted to play play in the Premier League,
but insisted that the generous £3.5 Million bid that
City had made was far too low.
A
Confused Richardson said, "They have made an offer which
has been totally rejected. Under no circumstances would we
consider it because it is about half our valuation of the
player.
"There
is another club interested if we do have to sell, so we will
wait to see what happens. We do want to keep him."
Is
this just Coventry trying to con their fans into thinking
that they are trying to get Hartson to stay? Or do they actually
think Hartson is worth £7 Million? Tell us in the Fans
Forum.
