After
his recent £250,000 transfer to Hull City, Lawrie Dudfield
has been speaking to the Leicester Mercury about his mixed
emotions after he realised that he would no longer be
playing for City.
Dudfield
told the Mercury, Im happy to join Hull because
it gives me another chance, but Im disappointed to be
leaving Leicester. So Ive got mixed emotions.
I
have really enjoyed my time at Leicester, but you can only
play reserve-team football for so long. I felt it was time
to move on.
Dudfield
also admitted that he has no hard feelings with Peter Taylor
nor Martin O'Neill for not letting him break through to the
first team after he made just 2 appearances for them.
Ive
got no hard feelings, said Dudfield. I understand
that managers have different opinions about players.
I
never seemed to fit into the new bosss plans and that
was made pretty apparent from the start.
Im
disappointed that things didnt work out at Leicester,
but these things happen and Ive got some great memories.
The
Leicester fans were always good to me and I will miss them.
FFS
misses Lawrie already. Leave your tributes over at the
Fans Forum.
