City
midfielder Muzzy Izzet has admitted for the first time that
he could be ready to call time on his City career, adding
to speculation that he could be ready to be reunited with
Martin O'Neill at Celtic.
The
story comes just a few days after Izzet was speaking to journalists
about Dennis Wise's move to City where he appeared relaxed
and upbeat about City's future and the clubs prospect for
next season.
It's
difficult to tell if Wise's move has prompted any of the rumours
but Izzet told the Scots paper The Daily Record, "I've
told my agent we will talk about any possible moves when I
get back from holiday on June 27.
"I
signed a new three-year deal with Leicester at the start of
last season. But I don't know if my future lies with them.
"It
is difficult to say anything right now although I haven't
heard anything directly from Celtic yet."
But
if O'Neill wants him then it will probably cost him a few
more quid than Neil Lennon did. Izzet is valued by City at
around £8 Million while Lennon was sold for considerably
less than that at £5.75m.
