Dennis
Wise has finally made his move to Leicester City today when
he sailed through a medical with no problem.
This
brings to an end his Chelsea days and begins his new chapter
as a City midfielder. Him and Savage are expected to form
quite a potent combination in midfield, although it is thought
that they will spend quite alot of time causing agro.
One
person who must have views on the new signing is City defender
and current skipper, Matt Ellliott. With all the rumours flying
around about Matt Elliott at the minute wishing to leave,
Wises move could be the final nail in the coffin.
Wise
will officially be unveiled to Citys fans on Monday when Peter
Taylor and John Elsom will also take part in the press conference.
On
a sadder note FFS has the painful duty of reporting that Reserve
and Youth team striker Lawrie Dudfield has become Hull City's
latest signing.
Dudfield,
who has recently been on loans to Chesterfield and Lincoln
City, has agreed terms with Hull City after Leicester agreed
to let him go for £250,000. Although the fee could rise
by a further £50,000 if Hull manage to get promoted
to division Two within three seasons, FFS still feels that
this is too low for a striker that we saw as a very promising
individual.
Brian
Little, currently the manager at Hull, must feel that he has
got a real bargain. We can only wish Lawrie the very best
and want to let him know that he brightened up many a cold
night down the reserves.
