The fixture lists have been released for the 2001/2002 season and the big surprise is that City will not play Chelsea on the first day of the season!

It seems that it was all a big hoax and that City will in fact be playing Bolton, at Filbert Street, on August 18th.

Other juicy dates are, Chelsea V Leicester 13th October. 6th April, Leicester V Man Utd, Leicester V Everton on 24th November (Ste's Birthday) and City V Derby on 23rd February.

The big news though is that City will again play away on Boxing day. This year they will make the long trip to Ipswich. But City fans will get to say goodbye to Filbert Street on the last day of the season. We are at home to Spurs!

Of course all the dates are subject to change as Sky TV have yet to announce which games they will be showing.
