Have
you noticed how every season, just about the time it's your
last chance to renew your season ticket, Leicester are linked
with a big name? Well this season's super new signing was
rumoured this week to be Lazio's Fabrizio Ravanelli.
Reported
to be longing for a return to the Premiership, the Silver
Fox could well be at home with the Foxes, and comes highly
recommended by Sven Goran Eriksen at the cheap price of £2m
(He is 33 after all).
Speaking
on the official site whilst out at La Manga with England,
(blimey, talking about his club team instead of England??!
Must be desperate for ticket sales!) Taylor said,
"There
is a definite interest in Ravanelli.
"I would put it no stronger than that at the moment. We have
opened the lines of communication but any discussions are
still very much in their infancy.
"It's
no secret that we are looking for a striker of high calibre
who can play at Premiership level."
Ravenelli
was a record signing for Middlesbro from Juventus in 1996
costing them £7m and helping them nearly get relegated
amongst all sorts of accusations that he yelled at players
and was bad for club morale. And he wants ridiculous wages
of £30k a week.
