Arguably the most improved player from last season, Andy Impey, has decided to extend his stay at Filbert Street by signing a brand new contract that should keep him at City for another three years, until 2004.

Although Impey's existing contract had another year to Taylor was desperate to reward his good form this season by extending his deal.

"I'm very pleased to sign the new contract. I enjoy my football at Leicester and I'm delighted to resolve my future for the next three years." Impey told LCFC.com. Peter Taylor added, "Andrew performed consistently well for us throughout the season and the contract is recognition for his hard work for us."
