City
boss Peter Taylor has admitted to making contact with three
players that he wants to sign and insists that the deals should
be completed very soon.
Taylor
has said that he wants to sign a goalkeeper, midfielder and
a striker, giving rise to a wave of speculation as to who
these three players could be.
Taylor said, "I know the players I want and there has
been some initial contact. If they want to come then I will
get on with it straight away.
"The new men who come in will be first teamers and not
just squad players."
Although Taylor refused to name names Wigan's Roy Carroll
was an instant candidate after being linked with a move to
City for the last god knows how long. The fee would be around
£3million.
Other possibles are John Hartson and Dion Dublin who would
both fit the bill of experienced strikers, although whether
they would instill confidence in City's fans is another thing.
