A
mixed squad of old and young took on Hinkley United last night
for United's kit man Buster Kendal's testimonial at Middlefield
Lane.
City
opted to give several first teamers an outing in a bid to
keep everyone match fit during City's week off before they
face Leeds a week today.
Simon
Royce, Gary Rowett, Matthew Jones and Andy Impey were all
in the starting line up but hero of the hour was Dean Sturridge
who scored City's only goal.
It was Impey's cross that gave Sturridge the chance he needed
to hit a powerful header into the net to fly straight by United's
'keeper.
City
then went on to give City's kids more of a go in the second
half with the likes of Dudfield replacing City's old timers.
