Calciomercato
are reporting that Aston Villa's Julian Joachim could be leaving
Birmingham to be back at home in Leicester next season.
They
reporting him as saying, 'In the back of my mind I sense that
I'll probably be looking for a new club in the summer. It's
not a case of me wanting to leave but I think the club wants
to sell me. I have to be realistic about my future with Aston
Villa and at the moment it looks as if there's no place for
me in the team.
"It's very frustrating for me because I want to play
and prove to the fans I'm capable of holding down a regular
place - but I'm not getting the chance. I had a fall out with
the gaffer at the beginning of the season and the fans gave
me a bit of stick, but I managed to come through all that
and out the other side.
"Having
settled down I got back in the team and scored a few goals.
Things were going really well for me and it looked like everything
was back on track. After a good run in the side I broke my
toe and was injured for nine weeks. After I got over that
my form returned and I scored something like five goals in
seven games. For some reason I've struggled to get in the
starting line-up ever since the injury.
"To
be honest I'm not sure why I'm out of the team because my
form has been good and I feel I deserve a place. On some occasions
I haven't even been included in the squad of 16 - I just feel
completely left out and I can't understand why."
Hmmmmmm?
