There
are transfer rumours all over the shop today with Muzzy Izzet
being touted as a possible target for West Ham and West Midlands
rivals Aston Villa.
Villa boss Gregory is reported to be desperate to sign a player
that can perform after £9.5million signing Juan Pablo
Angel has failed to help the club anywhere nearer to that
elusive UEFA Cup place.
Gregory could have some competition from West Ham though with
Izzet making no secret of his love for the Hammers who he
has supported since he was a boy.
Although
Izzet recently tried to calm speculation by saying, "I'm
very happy at Leicester but I've heard about the West Ham
link and they are my favorite team.
"However, I don't think I'll be allowed to leave Filbert
Street. I have no idea what sort of figure it would be but
I imagine it would be something very big."
Savage
is also on the wanted list with City chairmen John Elsom taking
the do or die step of issuing a hands-off warning in an attempt
to try and keep clubs away from City's very own Goldylocks.
The midfielder, who joined Leicester for £400,000 in
the summer of 1997 from Crewe, has caught the eye again this
season with his wholehearted performances.
Celtic
are currently said to be favorites for the Welshman's signature
and it is not know how Savage would treat the prospect of
a reunion with his old boss.
City chairman John Elsom though is desperate to stop the rumours
saying, "We know how important he is to our future success."
Finally
some good news. Or is it? A report in the News Of The World
says that John Hartson could be coming to Leicester in the
summer if Coventry get relegated.
The
report insisted that Taylor is keen on bringing Hartson to
Filbert Street, and is reported be prepared to offer £3million
for him.
