Simon Royce has become the latest city player to stand in defence of his manager and try to explain to fans that the team haven't got a clue why they keep losing.

Royce said, "I'm sure we'll take some criticism but if we could put our finger on it then we would not be losing games.

"But there are enough characters in the team not to dwell on things."

Royce may be right about not dwelling on things. Reports in Sunday's papers again point the finger at Roy Caroll as the man to replace Flowers in the summer.
