All aboard me hearty for captain Taggart's good ship Leicester!

All joking (and dodgy accents) aside, it was announced today that City's Northern Ireland defender Gerry Taggart will return to first team action in place of Matt Elliott against Middlesbrough on Saturday and receive the captains arm band.

With Elliott out for the rest of the season with ligament damage Taggart will be one of City's key men during the last few games of the season. The influential defender is already classed as City's lucky charm. City are more likely to win when Gerry is in the team according to the stats.

So come on everybody, rub a bit of lucky Gerry. Uh errr missus!
