Under fire City boss Peter Taylor has thanked some of City's fans for the letters that he has been receiving. The letters may not be quite what you think though. Along with the usual sacks of hate mail that Taylor has been receiving since he took over Martin O'Neill's post in the summer were some letters that cheered him up and told him that they would be sticking by City's new manager. Even after the run of Seven defeats.

"The players are on a bad run of confidence but that does not mean they are bad players and I certainly appreciate the support I have had from the sensible fans." Said Taylor.

"They have been tremendous and are helping the players as much as they can. They are the ones I feel sorry for. Those who were giving us stick when we were in the top six I don't feel sorry for at all."
