According
to Midassoccer.com Premier League officials are set to investigate
claims that there was trouble after the game between players
and officials in the tunnel at Pride Park after Monday's game.
Stewards
and police are said to have intervened to stop the fracas
but the scenes were said to have continued for several minutes
before it calmed down.
Meanwhile
Derby boss Jim Smith fanned the flames of City and Derby's
rivalry by referring to the incident between Savage and Deon
Burton by saying, "Deon has been sent off for butting.
I didn't see that, I only saw a certain Leicester player making
a meal of it.
"I
couldn't tell whether there was actual contact. If there was
then Deon will be severely dealt with. If there hasn't then
there will be the chance of a reprieve.
"Mind
you, there looked like contact by Savage on Eranio in another
incident. I'm disappointed Savage plays the game like that.
He's a good enough player not to go around doing what he does."
