City
boss Peter Taylor has confirmed that Matt Elliott has suffered
a knee injury and is unlikely to play in any of City's remaining
games.
The
challenge from Taribo West in the later stages of the game
at Pride Park meant that Elliott was forced to limp off and
after scans it looks like it could be the end of Matt's season.
City boss Taylor said: "Our physios believe that Matt
has damaged the ligaments and the signs are that he won't
play in our remaining matches. It's another blow and we haven't
had the best of luck with injuries in the last few weeks."
The injury comes at a very unfortunate time for Taylor with
City still trying to salvage a few wins form the end of the
season in an attempt to break up the 7 straight defeats that
they have recently suffered.
Matt
has already been left out of the Scotland squad that will
face Poland next week after Scotland manager Craig Brown heard
of his injury.
