Matt
Elliott looks set to miss the rest of this season if the reports
that he has suffered damaged knee ligaments are true.
Elliott
limped off in the second half after a challenge from West
which left City with only 10 men after Taylor had already
used up all his subs.
Taylor
told the official site, "Matt Elliott's injury could
be quite serious and he could be out for the rest of the season.
"We
don't know exactly the full extent of the damage to his knee
or how long he is going to be out.
"But
the way the physio said he had quite a lot of pain it sounds
like he may have opened up a ligament.
"We
will keep our fingers crossed but it does appear that luck
is against us again."
Also doubtful of making a recovery before this weekends game
against Middlesbrough is Dean Sturridge and Muzzy Izzet who
are both still struggling with injury.
Gerry Taggart may play though after missing today's game due
to a knee injury.
Taylor
said "I think Taggart will be OK for the weekend but
neither Sturridge or Izzet will be recovered from their injuries."
