City
have been dealt two massive blows so far this week with both
Elliott and Izzet the subject of injury scares.
TheBluearmy.co.uk
is reporting that Izzet could be out for the rest of the season
Muzzy Izzet may be out of action for the rest of the season
after injuring his calf again.
It
was reported yesterday that he may miss one or two games but
Taylor now insists that it could be longer.
:"We
are still not 100 per cent sure how good or bad it is. His
leg was very stiff when he came in for training." Said
Taylor.
"We
don't know at the minute whether that was just because he
had not played for ages before Saturday or whether he has
done some more damage.
"It
is not clear at the moment, but we should know by Wednesday
whether it is a short-term thing or something that will mean
he is out longer.
"I
am keeping my fingers crossed because what I do know is that
the last thing we need at the moment is for him to have another
bad injury."
Matt
Elliott also looks to be part of the casulty list now aswell
after it was revealed that a groin injury forced him out of
the Coventry game at half-time.
Elliott has apparently been carrying this injury for some
time and the game against Coventry was just a game too far
for the Scottish International who has been ever present this
season.
Elliott is now undergoing intensive treatment in a bid to
have him fit to face Manchester City.
