Meanwhile Peter Taylor himself had something that he had to deal with last night. After the match was over and City fans were wearily sitting on the coach waiting to make the short journey home Peter Taylor decided to make an appearance to appolagise to fans for City's lack of away form.

He also told fans of both of City's coaches that he was sorry that they had again had to sit through another away loss and told them that he would get it right and to keep the faith. He also thanked the fans for their support.

City fan Carl Simpson told FFS, "It was a really good gesture and showed that he really does want City to do well and is genuinely sorry for the poor performances of late."

It is the first time that a City manager has actually got on the coach to appolagise to fans and shows incredible bottle by Peter Taylor. Judging by the mood of some fans he could very well have been lynched last night! It is the second time that Taylor has put himself in the firing line. The first came after City's defeat at the hands of Wycomb in the FA Cup when he asked to appear on Radio Leicester's Monday Night Phone in.
