That's what they said about Lee Majors legs. But never did
he ask how long it was going to take. City manager Peter
Taylor though may just be asking that question today (ok
so he probably ain't cos he's buggered off to Albania with
Sven) with news that Savage's chances of making the game
against Charlton is 50/50.
Savage
has already had to pull out of the Welsh squad and has been
given his marching orders to get back to Filbert Street
for some intense therapy on his knee in an attempt to get
him fit for Sunday's game.
Midassoccer
reports Savage as saying, "It's actually getting better,
but I can't straighten the knee without pain and it's not
good enough for me to be considered for joining up with
Wales," said Savage.
"We
play Charlton away on Sunday and I'd say I'm 50-50 for that
match."
Meanwhile
over at the Izzet camp........
The
press seem to be far more interested with the prospect of
Muzzy and his brother having to play each other. Of course
they forget to tell you that 'iccle Kemmi is currently on
loan over at Colchester.
Still
Izzet seems happy enough just to concentrate on his own
recovery saying, The injury is responding to treatment
but there is still some way to go yet. I come from London
and I keep in touch with Kemal on a regular basis. I'd love
to be involved on Sunday but we shall have to see how things
progress over the next few days.
