With this weekends round of International games City manager
Peter Taylor has taken the opportunity to make sure that
his players, injured or otherwise, take some well earned
rest and recharge their batteries ready for City's next
game on April 1st against Charlton.
Taylor
himself though won't get chance for much relaxation though
with the impending transfer deadline looking this Thursday
and if that wasn't enough as soon as that is all done and
dusted Taylor will join England boss Sven Goran Eriksson
to help plan England's tactics ahead of this weekends England
game.
Taylor
told City's official site, "This break in the Premier
League season comes at a perfect time for us.
"I
think there is half a chance we could get Gerry Taggart
fit as well as Robbie Savage, Muzzy Izzet and Callum Davidson
at an important time of the season.
"The
timing of the break is first-class and I would hope that
a number of our injured players may be back in the team
by the time we travel to face Charlton Athletic.
"But
one thing is for sure - we've got to improve our away form
with two away matches on the spin facing us.
"I
intend to try and make sure we get something from both of
them."
City
have to be on top form for April 1st because after the defeats
against Wycomb and Man Utd they then have the task of entertaining
Sky viewers when the Charlton game is shown live!
As
any self respecting arm chair fan knows City has failed
to provide any value for money this season when playing
live on Sky with the most notable shower of s**t being the
game against Coventry.
