Peter Taylor has revealed just how difficult it is to follow
in the footsteps of one Martin O'Neill.
Taylor has admitted that in the four-and-a-half years that
Martin O'Neill was at Filbert Street he became a legend
winning City not only promotion via the play-offs but also
two League Cup wins and four top ten Premiership finishes.
Taylor said, "Martin was a fantastic manager here and
I knew that following him would be a difficult job.
"But someone had to do it and I'm glad it was me. I'm
enjoying the pressure and I love it here. I hope that people
will be saying the same sort of things about me in four
years time as they do about Martin.
"When I took the job I said I would settle for finishing
10th in my first season in charge. I would have been delighted
with that but we still have the chance to do better and
finish in the top six.
"That would make it a great season for us, despite
the FA Cup defeat."
