League two Dagenham and Redbridge gave a good account of themselves at the Walkers Stadium this afternoon. Twice they took the lead in the first half, but both times Leicester levelled the scored within minutes.
Ritchie gave D&R the lead in the 9th minute following some good play down the wing and some sloppy Leicester defending. Fryatt scored the first of his hat trick a minute later, turning well in the box and finishing in style.
The Daggers regained the lead through Strevens in the 25th minute, but Fryatt evened things up again from the penalty spot on the half hour.
Fryatt scored his thirt – and his 19th of the season ten minutes into the second half when he chipped the ball over the oncoming goalkeeper.
Leicester will be ball number 49 in the third round draw, which takes place live on ITV at 2:15PM on Sunday.
