Mattock was originally selected for the England under-19 squad for their match against Spain, along with Leicester striker Ashley Chambers. Chambers has played for England at under 16, under 17 and under 18 levels and will be hoping to add to his impressive tally of international appearances at Bournemouth tomorrow night.
The winners of the Football League's January player of the month awards will be announced this afternoon. Leicester have two nominees, in two divisions! Midfielder Matt Oakley has been nominated in League One, and striker DJ Campbell, on loan at Blackpool, has been nominated in the Championship.
