Leicester have signed goalkeeper Chris Weale from Bristol City. The 27 year old will be Leicester's fourth signing since being promoted back to the Championship.

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson said:
“Chris is a player who we have monitored and has been on our wish list for quite a while now. He has had limited opportunities at Bristol City and following a successful loan period at Yeovil Town we are delighted to secure his services. Chris is desperate to succeed here at Leicester and we believe he has the ability and the mental strength to do just that.”

Weale has made just a handful of appearances for Bristol City since they signed him from Yeovil in 2006. He made 10 appearances on loan at Yeovil at the end of last season and has also had loan spells at Hereford.

Young Leicester midfielder Andy King has been included in the full Wales squad for their friendly match against Estonia (May 29th) and he could also be included for the trip to Azerbaijan a week later.

Joe Mattock is in the England under 19 squad for their European qualifying matches against Bosnia & Herzegovina on May 27th at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium, Slovakia at Valley Parade, Bradford on May 29th, and Scotland at Bramall Lane, Sheffield on June 1st.

Striker Craig King is in the Scotland under 19 squad for their qualifying matches. In addition to the game against England they face Slovakia on May 27th at Bramall Lane and Bosnia on May 29th at the Keepmoat Stadium.
